Is this for real?

From WNBC.com:

"A state senator from Brooklyn said on Tuesday he plans to introduce legislation that would ban people from using an MP3 player, cell phone, Blackberry or any other electronic device while crossing the street in either New York City or Buffalo."

I still use my phone when driving... I can't get into those headsets. Come on, arrest me. But now I can't listen to my freaking iPod while walking to the F Train in the morning? This is ridiculous. I mean, if this is the plan to reduce traffic accidents involving New Yorkers J-walking, this is not a solution.
