Brooklyn Heights .... In Ohio?
Who would have thought that there would be another Brooklyn Heights in the U.S.? Apparently there is another Brooklyn Heights, but in Ohio. It's just Southeast of Brooklyn, Ohio (just South of Cleveland).

I can't believe you are mentioning this--a couple weeks ago my apartment was flooded by the idiot who lives above me, and since I was getting no help from my building and was worried about the water getting into the electric areas, I decided to call the Brooklyn Heights fire department and ask them if this was an emergency that required immediate attention. So I googled "Brooklyn Heights fire department". I thought the area code was odd but I was so freaked out and not thinking clearly that I assumed because they were the fire dept., they had a special area code. So a man answers and I explain that I'm on Clark street and my situation. He's like, "where are you???" and I say, "On Clark, between Henry and Hicks, right down the street from you" and he says, what city, and I start getting impatient and I say, BROOKLYN! And then he says, but what state are you in and I say NEW YORK of course and then he says, "We're in Brooklyn Heights OHIO. We are a very small community of homes. Well, I was completely embarrassed but we both had a good laugh about it. And that was how I learned that there was a Brooklyn Heights, Ohio. By the way, our fire dept. doesn't seem to have a phone number that one can find on the internet.
Totally frustrating for you, but a great story to tell for years to come! Glad you got a laugh out of it at least, I would totally have blown my fuse!!!
