Photographer John Barnard's work is on exhibit at the Callahan Center, St. Francis College, Remsen Street, Brooklyn Heights.
But what's really interesting is the subject of his photos: Brooklyn Heights nannies.
“I’ve lived in Brooklyn Heights since 1971, and I never noticed the nannies,” he said. “They’re here all the time, yet I never noticed them. All of a sudden I saw nannies at Starbucks, picking up their kids at school, taking them to the playground. I started to see that nannies are a pretty important part of Brooklyn Heights.”
